Principal Consultant (Remote, GA, US)

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Principal Consultant to lead design and solutioning in enterprise asset management (EAM) implementation projects. This techno-functional role requires a deep understanding of IBM Maximo functionality, strong solution design capabilities, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The successful candidate will have proven experience and successful track record leading key technical or functional tracks for IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management implementation projects. This position reports to the Manager, Services and works closely with Principal consultants and project teams. Responsibilities: A successful candidate for this position will be able to execute the following job duties with minimal supervision from company management. Client Advisory & Leadership - Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams throughout the Maximo implementation lifecycle. - Lead workshops to gather and refine business requirements. - Define and document to-be processes. Solution Design & Development - Translate functional requirements into technical designs using pseudo-code and other modeling techniques. - Architect, design, document, and prototype technical solutions for IBM Maximo configurations. - Develop data conversion strategies and integration solutions with external systems. Project Execution & Delivery - Apply software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards in alignment with company methodologies. - Create and deliver process documentation and workshop outputs. - Participate in system testing, change management, training, and post go-live support. - Lead defect remediation and ensure technical quality across deliverables. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized higher educational institution, in the field of Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent training and experience. - Minimum 12 years of relevant hands-on experience in IBM Maximo. - Proven experience in leading functional or technical tracks of IBM Maximo EAM implementation projects. - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience collecting end-user requirements through meetings and interviews. - Minimum 5 years of experience designing solutions that meet end user requirements. - Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. - Experienced using the Microsoft Office Suite Desired Qualifications: - Maximo Certification – Maximo Asset Management v7.1 or Higher. - Knowledge of asset-intensive industries such as utilities, oil and gas, transportation, or manufacturing. - Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS). - Familiarity with middleware platforms and integration tools (e.g., WebSphere, REST APIs). - Experience designing, installing, and administering middleware such as Oracle, SQL Server, and an Enterprise Service Bus. BIRT report expertise Other: - This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid or home-based in the United States. - Required sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
