<p><strong><u>The Company</u></strong></p><p>Our client, a growing regional bank, is looking to add a <strong>Commercial Lender </strong>to their team in Rochester, NY. This position is a great career opportunity for an experienced banking professional and offers a highly competitive base salary up to $200K, bonus, stock incentives and benefits package.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>The Opportunity</u></strong></p><p>The <strong>Commercial Lender</strong> will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of business clients by delivering customized financial solutions. This role involves developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring the profitability and credit quality of the portfolio. The <strong>Commercial Lender </strong>will also develop and maintain a strong partnership with internal business partners to enhance and grow client relationships.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities </u></strong></p><p>Primary responsibilities of the role include:</p><ul><li><strong>Client Relationship Management</strong> - Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of commercial clients; Build and maintain long-term relationships with business owners, CEO/President, CFOs, and other key decision-makers; Conduct regular client reviews to assess financial needs and satisfaction.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><strong>Credit and Lending</strong> - Analyze financial statements and assess creditworthiness of clients; Structure and negotiate commercial loans and credit facilities; Work with credit analyst to assist with the underwriting of credit proposal; Approve loans within specified limits or present loans to loan committee for approval.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><strong>Portfolio Management</strong> – Monitor portfolio performance, including loan covenants, renewals, and risk ratings; Identify and mitigate potential risks within the portfolio; Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.</li></ul><p><br></p><ul><li><strong>Business Development</strong> – Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market research; Actively promote products and services and refer existing and potential customers to Treasury Management, Private Banking, and Wealth and Asset Management; Collaborate with product specialists to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Requirements: </u></strong></p><p>The successful candidate will possess the following:</p><p>· Bachelor’s degree in business/related field or equivalent work experience.</p><p>· Five+ years of commercial lending experience, including both credit underwriting and portfolio management</p><p>· Five+ years demonstrated sales and business development experience with proven results including client research, sales planning and ability to close a sale.</p><p>· Excellent credit/analytical skills and proven ability to effectively manage credit needs for the portfolio.</p><p>· Strong customer service skills.</p><p>· Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation skills.</p><p><br></p><p>The bank offers a competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $200,000, plus bonus and stock incentive potential.
