SEO Specialist, Sports Betting & iGaming  

Remote-based position

 


As an SEO Specialist with Advance Local focused on Sports Betting and iGaming content, you’ll support core business goals by collaborating across key stakeholders to implement SEO initiatives that drive traffic and visibility. As part of your role, you’ll provide analysis and guidance on optimization tactics and strategies as well as editorial and on-page practices that lead to traffic growth.

 

The base salary range is $52,500 - $67,500

 

You will be responsible for:  


  • Owning the category reporting and analysis as you become a go-to expert on metrics and KPI’s

  • Building multi-level reporting views and workflows that seek to deliver actionable data to team members

  • Industry competitive analysis, providing deep, actionable insights to team members

  • Conducting in-depth keyword research and intent analysis to identify high-value, high-intent keywords

  • Conducting competitive analysis to identify and recommend new techniques and strategies

  • Analyzing and developing optimization tactics that result in high-value conversion actions

  • Designing and developing analytical models that align organic search, Google Discover, and AI search platforms to deliver new insights

  • Creating on-page analysis and recommendations for workflows that aim to inform team members around best practices and optimization opportunities

  • Staying aware of industry landscape shifts and algorithm updates, helping to shape new best practices, and keeping team members informed of key findings

  • Developing and evolving SEO testing scenarios, helping to develop cutting-edge best practices 

Our ideal candidates will have the following:  


  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum two years’ hands-on experience in Sports Betting and iGaming SEO implementation, ideally at enterprise-level organizations or with large media, affiliate, or operator sites; News SEO experience is a big plus

  • Expert knowledge of analytics platforms like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Bing Webmaster

  • Experience with advanced analytics features, tools, and methods: Google Looker Studio, Parsely, Marfeel, BigQuery, and others

  • Experience with 3 rd party SEO industry tools (i.e. SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.)

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills to help present, educate, and train team members

  • An analytical eye for identifying metrics-based opportunities for success and structure processes around them

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments across a multitude of properties, initiatives and business groups

  • Understanding of SEO methodologies behind E-E-A-T, crawl efficiency and budget, topic clustering, topical authority, and the interplay between Search, Discover, and News

  • The ability to keep organized multiple, on-going initiatives, effectively prioritizing tasks and deadlines

  • The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of business initiatives while working alongside other SEO team members to align plans and goals

  • Working knowledge and understanding of the AI search landscape and a deep desire to develop in-house practices and standards around AI-related audience opportunities and behaviors

  • Expert-level understanding of spreadsheets and their ability to deliver insights

  • The ability to work under newsroom-deadline pressure and the willingness to jump into action – including assistance in making content edits when assigned
