Raytheon Effectors Logistics Execution has an opening for a Logistics Operations Manager. This position is responsible for the leadership of all logistics activities related to material receipt, shipment, inventory accuracy, strategic warehouse management, and distribution operations at the Missile Integration and Test Facility (ITF) in Tucson, AZ, as well as being the principal liaison with the 3PL provider supporting the site. In this highly visible role, you will lead a team of front-line leaders to provide logistics support to 22 programs across 7 operating factories.

This position will focus on accurate and compliant execution of velocity and efficiency within the operation. It will support all programs with contract execution for government and company material and property. This position requires constant coordination with numerous factories and programs to meet all material management expectations supporting inbound flow and outbound shipments.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills necessary to monitor and control all inbound and outbound in accordance with Raytheon and Government instructions and regulations. A familiarity with Raytheon’s SAP based business management system (PRISM) and FIORI movement system will help facilitate disposition and movement of material.

What you will do:

  • Supervise a team of front-line leaders.
  • Define, monitor, prioritize and track performance of various Logistics processes.
  • Ensure employees comply with all contract provisions, safety, security, work instructions and required training.
  • Monitor and approve timecards for assigned employees.
  • Coordinate factory requirements with operations factory managers, production planners, warehouse inventory production specialists, traffic administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure timely inbound/outbound material flow.
  • Coordinate and support inventory research as needed to support reconciliation efforts.
  • Work with other functional organizations, and plant sites, providing direction and guidance to internal customers regarding Raytheon procedures.
  • Root Cause analysis of process gaps and related corrective actions.
  • Review and revision of existing processes to include process mapping, training, work instructions, performance metrics with defined control limits.
  • Must pass Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) background screening.
  • This is a 1st shift, onsite position

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience working with compliance or similar auditing environments, preferably within the US Government, the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), the DSS, or Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
  • Experience with root cause corrective action applications.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in communication, influence management and presentation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of compliance and audit requirements of the US Government, the Defense Contract Management Agency, the Defense Security Services and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
  • Understanding and the ability to lead teams to execute processes in service of regulations relative to handling, processing, and movement of dangerous or sensitive materials specifically class 1 compatibility, including CFR, DFARS, FAR, ITAR, DoD, and DSS
  • Experience working with hazardous and classified materials in a DOD or Defense contractor setting.
  • Established networks with Factory Management, EH&S, Engineering, Labor Relations, Supply Chain and Quality while developing collaborative relationships that influence across organizational lines.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
