Commercial Banking Service Representative I

<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>Under the direction of the Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the Commercial Loan, Deposit, Cash Management servicing and account operation servicing functions of the Commercial Banking Group.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Acts as the direct liaison between Primary Relationship Officers (PRO), agent banks, participating banks and other Bank units in fulfilling the servicing (loan, deposit, cash management, investments, etc.) needs of clients. Provides proactive service and support to assigned PROs and to overall Team as a unit to meet servicing objectives. Maintains the highest level of internal and external client service to meet Bank standards.</li><li>Researches and resolves customer problems and initiates corrective action to efficiently ensure complete satisfaction. Follows up as needed to ensure that customer needs are met. Makes process recommendations to improve the operational and servicing functions. Accesses various bank systems to obtain information necessary to complete various tasks. Completes various forms, correspondence, memos and reports using computer applications. May write to both external and internal customers.</li><li>Establishes new accounts and customer files, coordinates receipt of proper documentation. Follows up with PROs, Portfolio Management Officers (PMOs) and customers for missing items. Comprehends Bank products and services, and use this knowledge to identify appropriate needs to provide solution to PROs and customers. </li><li>Coordinates the overdraft, delinquent loan, maturing loan, receivable, loan preparation, expired lines, and other required reports with PROs and PMOs. Consolidates information to complete various reports for management purposes. Prints and distributes certain management reports from various systems to internal departments within Commercial Banking Group.</li><li>May be reassigned to different Teams within CBSS as required to support the Commercial Banking Group’s business unit needs. On a relief basis, may temporarily perform the job responsibilities of another Commercial Banking Service & Support (CBSS) Service Representative. </li><li>Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned. <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school diploma or G.E.D.</li><li>Minimum 1 - 2 years of commercial banking service experience, Commercial Deposits, Commercial Loans and Cash Management, or equivalent work experience.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) or similar software. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.</li><li>Ability to perform job functions under moderate supervision</li><li>Fully competent in at least two of the following servicing responsibilities, and beginning to recognize cross-selling opportunities;</li><ul><li>Commercial Deposits</li><li>Commercial Loans</li><li>Bank Operations</li><li>Cash Management</li></ul><li>Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Must be analytical, detail oriented, organized. Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities. Knowledge of Bank financial products and services. Demonstrated effective and efficient team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who can also resolve problems independently.
