Home Health Intake Coordinator- Wednesday-Sunday(REMOTE)

\*\*\*EXPERIENCED HOME HEALTH INTAKE COORDINATOR FOR ASPIRE HOME HEALTH\*\*

We are Aspire Home Healthcare. A patient centered, orthopedic and medical home care agency looking for a full-time intake coordinator for our rapidly growing organization.

We are searching for an ideal candidate with experience working in the home health care industry that is reliable, organized, a team player, and who has great attention to detail.

The Intake Coordinators are first contact for all of our patients/families. Their role is to facilitate all functions at the point of a patient’s referral (registration, insurance verification, eligibility, etc.) The Intake Coordinator has direct contact with referring physicians, hospital liaisons and patient/families as it relates to Home Health benefits and services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of intake experience in the medical field.
  • Customer interaction/customer service experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office along with strong data entry skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Experience working to obtain insurance verifications, initiate pre-certifications, and enter insurance data correctly to ensure the billing process runs smoothly
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, commercial, private pay providers and regulations that may impact the verification of insurance for the Agency
  • Prior experience in a medical field such as a hospital or medical office.
  • Home care experience a plus!

General Responsibilities

  • Receive, organize, and input patient data when referrals come in
  • Retrieving pre-authorizations and verifying insurance benefits and eligibility for all of our patients
  • Electronic Medical Records experience a plus. We are currently using a software program called Kinnser,
  • Resolve simple to moderately complex issues, corrects errors and refers complex issues to supervisor
  • Maintain a tracking sheet of pending orders
  • Review ongoing episodes for appropriate authorizations
  • Use of google drive and spreadsheets for tracking purposes
