Fraud Risk Agent

The Fraud Risk Agent is tasked with reviewing and resolving transactions which were flagged for manual review. The Fraud Risk Agent must analyze transactions while taking into consideration hundreds of data points to effectively decide whether the transaction is legitimate or fraudulent. The Fraud Risk Agent must balance efficiency, accuracy and customer expectations (SLAs). They must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills. They must also be extremely strong in the art of fraud detection, recognizing both new and existing fraud trends, and communicating any previously unrecognized fraud trends to the Strategy Team. The Fraud Risk Agent will play a significant role in ensuring customer expectations while controlling risk associated with fraud losses.<br><br>This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.<br><br><strong>What You’ll Do<br><br></strong>Manual Transaction Review<br><br><ul><li>Review and analyze transactions placed on Bestbuy.com, BBCC and various other channels, to determine the validity of each transaction by using systems and tools.</li><li>Align daily duties with overarching Fraud Risk Department goals including increasing profitability and reducing fraud.</li><li>Balance multiple metrics including productivity, minimizing bad debt and avoiding customer insults.</li><li>Data collection, consolidation and analysis to be communicated to the Fraud Risk Strategy team for potential rule implementation.</li><li>Identifying opportunities for rule optimization while working through erroneously cancelled orders through a deep dive into historical transaction data and communicating those to the Fraud Risk Strategy Team.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>1+ years of retail and customer service experience</li><li>1+ years of MS office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Exposure to web-based applications, internet, personal identifiable information (PII).</li><li>Ability to multitask and have basic technical aptitude.
