This leader will play a critical role in shaping Gong’s compensation philosophy, scaling compensation infrastructure, and ensuring programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned to Gong’s business strategy.</p> <p>As a strategic partner to the business, this role will drive high value compensation initiatives that have real business impact across all base, variable, and equity compensation, scaling in a fast-paced, pre-IPO environment.</p> <h5>RESPONSIBILITIES</h5> <ul> <li>Help lead Gong’s global compensation strategy, programs, and operations across salary, equity, incentives, and job architecture.</li> <li>Partner with executive leadership, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and HRBPs to align compensation programs with business strategy and workforce planning.</li> <li>Oversee annual compensation planning processes, including merit cycles, promotions, equity refreshes, and executive compensation support.</li> <li>Build scalable compensation frameworks and infrastructure capable of supporting a rapidly growing global organization.</li> <li>Drive compensation analytics and insights to support executive decision making, organizational planning, retention strategy, and market competitiveness.</li> <li>Lead compensation benchmarking and market analysis efforts to ensure programs remain competitive and aligned to industry trends.</li> <li>Develop and optimize compensation processes, systems, governance, and reporting capabilities.</li> <li>Partner closely with People Systems, Operations, and Analytics teams to improve automation, scalability, and data integrity across compensation workflows.</li> <li>Create executive-ready presentations and narratives that communicate compensation outcomes, trends, risks, and recommendations.</li> <li>Lead and develop competency in compensation across multiple People teams</li> <li>Support broader Total Rewards and People initiatives, including organizational design, leveling, career frameworks, and pre-IPO readiness activities.</li> </ul> <h5>QUALIFICATIONS </h5> <ul> <li>10+ years of progressive compensation experience leading highly visible initiatives in high-growth technology companies.</li> <li>Deep expertise in compensation strategy, analytics, equity programs, and compensation operations.</li> <li>Strong business acumen with experience advising and presenting to senior leaders at all levels.</li> <li>Advanced analytical and modeling skills with expertise in Google Sheets/Excel and compensation planning methodologies.</li> <li>Experience building scalable compensation programs and infrastructure in fast-paced, evolving organizations.</li> <li>Exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management skills.</li> <li>Strong project leadership skills with the ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives.</li> <li>Experience supporting global organizations and pre-IPO environments strongly preferred.</li> </ul> <h5>PERKS & BENEFITS </h5> <ul> <li>We offer Gongsters a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family’s needs.</li> <li>Wellbeing Fund - flexible wellness stipend to support a healthy lifestyle.</li> <li>Mental Health benefits with covered therapy and coaching.</li> <li>401(k) program to help you invest in your future.</li> <li>Education & learning stipend for personal growth and development.</li> <li>Flexible vacation time to promote a healthy work-life blend.</li> <li>Paid parental leave to support you and your family.</li> <li>Company-wide recharge days each quarter.</li> <li>Work from home stipend to help you succeed in a remote environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The annual salary hiring range for this position is $188,000 - $235,000 USD.  </strong></p> <p>Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.
